ADULT MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM:

Laurie Fisher, M.S.W., R.S.W. is the contracted adult mental health therapist for Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. She travels from Grande Prairie to Sturgeon Lake twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and meets with clients at the Sturgeon Lake Health Centre. Home visits are an option under certain special considerations.

Presenting Issues include:

• Depression
• Stress
• Anxiety
• Grieving
• Trauma (abuse or residential school)
• Relationship issues
• Family issues
• Addictions
• Self-esteem work

Referral is not necessary. Members of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation can simply make an appointment by calling the Health Centre at (780) 524-3717. Walk-ins are also accepted as scheduling permits.

Individual or Couple Therapy is provided to anyone over the age of 14, though younger clients may be considered.

Workshops and Group Sessions are available on request. This includes grief support sessions.
